About

This website is basically about my military experiences during the Vietnam War.During the periods of 1967-68.the worst year of the war.The Tet Offensive. This offensive move was calculated by the NVC( the north vietnamese army) to move as many troops and strike as many areas at once to throw the US troops off guard. But we were ready for them.During this period of the war,the NVC were killing off the younger children of the mountains..They were called the mountain people obviously..these children were darker than the rest and the NVC were killing them. After I left Vietnam in 1968,it came to my mind to try and save at least one of these children from a certain death. So I proceeded to the Catholic Services..There they were trying to have some of these children adopted..I signed up for a boy Named Matthew, who is shown on this page. The services told me that Matt was in a good healthy state.I soon found out that this was not correct at all..after we met and finally got to know him,I found out about all the damage done to him..His eardrums were broken from loud explosions. He had bullet holes in his legs. For the longest time he wouldn't sleep in a bed..he incisted on the floor.he was also very afraid of dogs. There they were eaten..Vietnam was the most horrible place on this earth when I was there.little children barely of walking age.using the streets for a toilet..Grabbing you by the hand to take you to their mommy for sex.It was heartbreaking. You couldn't tell the good from the bad.Women and children riding bikes would suddenly stop and pull out a rifle or other weapon and start shooting at you.I have had  counselling my nightmares, but all in vain.they never go away.I could go on and on but you get the main idea! also on this site will be links to family and friends I hope you enjoy looking through my life's history.Clicking on the links about will take you anywhere  of your choosing. Sadly matt is no longer with us.He died as a teen.He at least got a taste of freedom with a good quality of life. He's thought of often and missed very much. The picture to the right is me at Cam Rahn Bay Vietnam 1967.
